From Beginners to Seasoned Quilters
FUN. CREATIVE. COMMUNITY.
Quilting brings joy, expression and above all else connection ...
Imagine connecting with a community of like minded quilters all around the world sharing, creating and producing quilts that create moments of joy
Imagine...
- Having someone there to help you with ideas or feedback just when you need it.
- Someone with years of expertise and experience to support you, rather than spending hours searching online for videos and blog posts.
- Having a portable and flexible resource, including hours of helpful videos, in your back pocket to pull from to suit your schedule.
- Having direct access to me to ask questions to enhance your learning and clarify anything in the videos that you would like to implement.
It's like having your very own tutor in a one to one setting, getting their support and expertise throughout the year for the price of one session when compared to an in person class.
Having written two books on quilting, spent years teaching face to face and developing my own techniques, I am passionate about teaching people to quilt and helping them develop a love for quilting
No matter how long you have been quilting, there is always more to learn and share. That’s why this community is perfect whether you are brand new to quilting or a seasoned maker.
In the 2024 Quilt Party we will be making a fun Block of the Month called 'Explorations', enjoying tips on using our scraps from my lovely friend Pauline Cave, having regular Zoom get togethers and more.
I do hope you will join me!

I’ve done basic sewing for a long time but never done quilting before. I became interested in learning how to quilt after being inspired by what I saw at a quilting symposium.
Online learning suits me best so when I came across Sheila’s Quilt Party I decided to sign up. I started with the Patchwork and Quilting Techniques course so I could learn what it’s all about and build up my skills. I have to say I’m extremely impressed with my results... and so are my family and friends.
Sheila takes you through everything you need to know to make each block and assemble the quilt. She explains what she is doing each step of the way making it easy to follow along. With the online videos I get to stop, start and replay the videos for each step so I can work at my own pace.
I was hooked on this course after producing my very first block... my other hobbies have taken a backseat as a result! I can’t wait to move on to the next course with Sheila and start her block of the month project!

My introduction to Sheila was when I attended The Quilt Show and fell in love with her trendsetters quilt. I have not usually been big on triangles in quilts but these just totally captured my attention. When I learned, via social media, that Sheila would be offering classes I jumped on the opportunity to begin learning a new technique. It started with a simple table runner, (well perhaps not totally simple since it was a bit of a challenge), but it looks beautiful. I've been continued on to her year-long class schedule with the trendsetters quilt and I'm just in awe of the work that she's done to be able to present all of these to us.
Her videos are amazingly clear, concise and helpful when I need them. Her written material and the step-by-step guides to each of the individual pieces is meticulous, and I never had to second-guess what she presented. I totally recommend her classes, the great variation of products that she presents, and simply love her enthusiasm.

Covid19 and lock down gave me something. I heard about what Sheila was offering as an on line project. I had never done anything like this before. I was happy to sign up to the group and set about an enjoyable weekly venture. This has resulted in 5 quilts. Thank you for your inspiration.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Sheila.
I started quilting in Feb 2020 when my children bought me a mystery quilt designed by Sheila. I was very apprehensive about quilting despite my desire to quilt for most of my adult life. I decided to take a class at a local quilt shop. That lasted for 2 classes before it was shut down due to COVID 19. I reached out to Kim Moos from Cotton Cuts and she let me know about Sheila’s free Facebook classes called Back to Basics. Wow. I learned how to make a quilt and haven’t stopped.
Sheila’s instructions and video are top notch. I am a visual learner and frequently written instructions just aren’t enough. Being able to read the instructions and follow up with the video has been so very helpful. I frequently refer back to her classes when I need a reminder, such as how to connect the binding and form the final joint. I am a member of her online quilting classes and LOVE IT!! I have learned so much and truly enjoy making all sorts of quilts now.
I would highly recommend Sheila Christensen Quilts for beginner and advanced quilters. She has even given me the confidence to design some quilts on my own.
